Book Carriage (clamps)

Gathered signature OR forms are fed manually into the Book Carriage. They can be Jogged before clamps close automatically. The moment the forms are clamped and cover placed, Book & Cover Sensors puts the binding cycle into operation.
For 2 - Up Production a book guide is placed between the clamps that divided the carriage into two equal components. A book - support can be attached the width of the book is much more than the clamp height.
      

Back Milling Station

A TCT Milling Cutter with Scoring teeth are housed at the Milling Station. The front (safety) plate covering the cutter slides back as the signatures come on top of that. this avoids any settings required based on thickness of spine. A lever is provided for increasing or decreasing the depth of back milling. For covering thread sewn books. For Pad binding the milling cutter can be replaced with a grinding disc.
    

Dust Extraction System

A powerful, separate suction device is provided for the efficient removal of Milling dust into a bag type collector.
      

Hot Melt Gluing Station

The Hot Melt Applicator is Roller Type and the Thickness of Glue Film is adjusted, accurately, by a Scraper System.
           3 separate Strip Heaters are provided, which are controlled by Digital Circuits for accurately maintaining the application Temperature. The heater can be set to go ON at a pre determined time, in order to avoid delays in Melting the Adhesive.
     

Cover Station

Covers are Fed Manually at the cover station, against Side and Back Ready for Registration against the book back. The Duration of Nipping can be controlled, from the control panel to suit the thickness of the book and the cover. The Reference Height of the cover Breaker or the center plate can be lowered or raised to adjust the cover breaking pressure.
       

Delivery Station

The books are delivered through a Chute Type Tray and the book carriage goes back only after delivering the book. (Delivery Sensing).
